Self-guided walk with donkeys
Are you looking for a fun way to visit Cappadocia with the children?
Our donkeys Suslu will be happy to carry your children (and the picnic) on her back while you are exploring beautiful landscape around the canyon of Üzengi, the churches of Gömeda and the valley of Pancarlik on a self-guided walking excursion.
Suslu is a cute pygmy donkey from Anatolia and she can carry a small child. She is friendly, safe to ride or lead – and not too stubborn for donkeys !
In addition to the donkeys, we provide an easy-to-use GPS (Global Positioning System device) showing you the most beautiful walking route around the area, as well as a map including churches off the beaten tracks. Leaving from the ranch and returning in the evening, your total excursion time will be around 4 hours (shortcuts possible).
Conditions:
> Available from March to November
> Maximum weight for Suslu: 20 kg
> Donkey cannot be ridden by adults - only children are allowed on her back
> Riding pads and saddle-bags provided
> GPS and walking map provided for the Üzengi, Gömeda and Pancarlik areas
> Free hotel pickup from Ürgüp, Ortahisar and Mustafapasa
> Your responsibility is engaged in case of animal injury or loss/damage of equipment (up to 500 YTL)
> Bring a picnic and plenty of water if you’re going for the whole day !
