This formula offers comfortable accommodation in picturesque guesthouses located in ancient stone houses or in nicely renovated cave houses. You can see more of Cappadocia's villages and experience the legendary Turkish hospitality and the anatolian way of life. Most guesthouses are run by families. Double rooms with en-suite toilets and shower. Single room supplement (applicable only if unwilling to share and if available): 25 Euros per person per night payable locally. Most guesthouses offer internet access and a laundry service. Lunch is a pic-nic, dinner (Turkish) and breakfast (Turkish and continental) are taken at the guesthouse. Dinner usually comprises a starter, one or two main course and a dessert. Vegetarian menu on request. Water, tea and coffee are included. Wine and other drinks are available but payable locally.
You will be driven to your guesthouse in the early evening after tea at the camp where the horses will stay. This formula offers a level of accommodation that is simple, and with a friendly atmosphere. You will sleep in nature under double tipi-tents including single camp mattresses. You must bring a good sleeping bag as nights can be cold. On Friday night, the camp is next to an ancient troglodyte dwelling and it is possible to sleep in a tufa cave. Wednesday night - as well as your arrival and departure night - are spent in a guesthouse (double or triple rooms). Lunch is a pic-nic, dinners usually comprise a main traditional dish cooked on the wood fire. Vegetarian dish on request. Breakfasts are continental. Water, tea and coffee are included.
At the camp, meals are taken the Turkish way, i.e. on the floor, sitting on a carpet around a large round tray, under the communal tent or outside by the camp fire. . The camp has a 'shower tent' with a basin, a large bucket and a gaz stove where you can heat the water.
